Gosai-de is the Japanese word for the five classical colors traditionally used in Kutani-ware ceramics. These colors were used to create bold, idyllic and romanticized scenes of landscapes, the beauty of nature and the beauty of people interacting with nature. This my own take on that classical style, as we find ourselves leaning more and more into the romanization of nature and the pastoral while we are confined to our homes during this pandemic.
